Could an undiagnosed illness or injury be plaguing your pet?

When humans get sick or hurt, they go to the doctor, explain their symptoms and receive the appropriate care. With pets, things aren’t always this straightforward. Because animals can’t speak, they can’t tell us when something is bothering them.

What’s more, many animals are capable of hiding the signs of illness, allowing it to develop and worsen undetected.

The veterinary diagnostics at Fullwood Animal Hospital enable us to identify and treat health problems in a timely manner. Faster diagnosis of illness and injury can dramatically improve the chances of a positive outcome.

Laboratory

Our convenient on-site diagnostic laboratory makes it fast and efficient to run a wide variety of tests. In many cases, we can have the answers we need in just minutes. This means we can have a treatment plan in place before you and your pet even leave the exam room.

Imaging

When a physical exam and lab testing aren’t enough to reach a diagnosis, we turn to advanced imaging technology, including x-rays and ultrasound. These tools enable us to evaluate the bones and internal organs, identifying injuries, diagnosing illness and determining its severity.

Digital images can be analyzed by our doctors in real-time or shared electronically with specialists if necessary.

If your pet seems a bit under the weather lately, don’t take chances. Contact Fullwood Animal Hospital right away. We’ll get to the bottom of the problem and get your best friend back on the path to good health again.

Ultrasound

Ultrasound imaging technology provides the doctors at Fullwood Animal Hospital with a non-invasive way to learn what’s happening inside your pet’s body so that we can identify and diagnose certain health concerns. Ultrasound imaging is safe, painless, and produces highly accurate images that allow us to determine how your pet’s body is functioning internally.

Some of the many conditions ultrasound can be used to evaluate and diagnose include:

  • Heart disease
  • Tumors
  • Bladder and/or kidney stones
  • Diseases of the organs (liver, kidney, gallbladder, etc.)
  • Gastrointestinal concerns

Fullwood Animal Hospital works alongside veterinarians specializing in ultrasonography and is pleased to offer this service as part of our comprehensive diagnostic services.
